The Prattville Creative and Performing Arts Council is excited to honor best-selling author Ace Atkins, a talented writer and former football player for the Auburn Tigers. This annual Honoree Dinner is part of the Fountain City Arts Festival Celebration and celebrates a person or group who has made a significant contribution to cultural arts in Alabama. After graduating from Auburn University, Mr. Atkins worked as a crime reporter for the Tampa Tribune, where he received a Pulitzer nomination for his work. He is a New York Times best-selling author and was chosen by the Robert B. Parker estate to continue Parker’s Spenser detective series. Ace Atkins has written more 19 crime fiction novels.
